Here in Doha, it's a small country, and there is a certain area a bit far from Doha. There are villas there, which can be called gated societies or compounds. Living there is quite affordable, and they are referred to as “Dhan Villas,” like Dhan One, Two, etc. I know that there are villas from Dhan One to Dhan Thirty. We have acquaintances here who live in those villas.
This started when they began to experience nightmares. Initially, they felt as if there was an entity standing over them beside their bed. Sometimes, it seemed very real, and they felt that something wrong was happening to them. They could understand what was happening, like what could be wrong with a lady. She used to wake up distressed, but she didn’t share this with anyone, fearing judgment for seeing such things.
She started reading the Quran more intensely, and gradually she felt that the intensity of these occurrences was increasing. One night, she saw blood dripping from the ceiling onto the fridge in her kitchen. The next morning, when she woke up, she went to the kitchen, and there was an actual bloodstreak on the fridge. She told her husband about it and shared her incidents, saying she was having these nightmares and now this was real.
Her husband dismissed it, saying it was rust and couldn’t be blood. They then had to travel back to Pakistan for a summer vacation. A Muslim family from India, who were friends of her husband, visited during the summer vacation. Her husband allowed them to rent their apartment, suggesting it would be a better option since they were going to be in Pakistan.
After about a month and a half, when they returned to Doha, they met the Indian lady, who had children and was living in their villa. During casual conversation, the Indian lady asked if they liked the house. The acquaintance didn’t share any incident but simply asked if they felt anything strange. The lady suggested they should try moving, stating that the house didn’t feel right, and there were entities felt there.
There were similar experiences, and other ladies in the house also felt that they sensed someone standing over them. One of the worst incidents happened with a 14 or 15-year-old girl who was found sleeping in her bedroom without any blanket or clothes, deeply asleep, at an odd time. The Indian lady was shocked and asked the girl why she was in such a state, given that her father and brothers were home.
The girl cried and explained that sometimes she found herself in that condition, but she knew her family was home. After this incident, they all shared their experiences of nightmares. It was confirmed that there were negative entities present, leading them to request to change their apartment, despite their contract still being active.
They insisted on moving within the same compound, and within a week, they were relocated. I heard a similar story about 23; I don’t know if it was the same apartment or a different one, but my friend also shared something similar about experiencing odd occurrences in their home.
In Qatar, we have family friends who shared this story. Every horror story is a good topic for discussion, and it turns out there were new villas being built near a certain area. The construction would often start and stop for unknown reasons, which made our family friends speculate that there might be something supernatural causing the delay.
One evening, the friend’s family drove by to check on the villas to see if they were available. While discussing how construction seems never to finish and might be due to some creepy occurrences, they parked outside to take a look. Suddenly, their car, which they claim didn’t have the handbrake applied, rolled backward with a loud bang, as if pushed by something.
They thought the car was severely damaged, but when they checked later under the supermarket lighting, there wasn’t a scratch on it. They were astonished that their car, which they thought would be heavily damaged, remained unscathed. This incident made them decide against renting in that area, as the construction remains unfinished to this day.
It’s a possibility that the car was in reverse by some fault, and they simply didn’t realize it. But, as they noted, the car stood still for five to seven minutes before the incident occurred.
