A haunted old tree

My name is Shahid Iqbal Khattak, and I am from Karak, KP, but I’ve been working in Dubai for 20 years.

My story is quite old. When I was younger, there were no mobile phones. One evening, my mother sent me and my younger brother to my uncle’s house. Our house and my uncle’s house were about half an hour away by foot, and the weather was bad with many clouds. My mother gave us a torch and an umbrella.

As we started walking, a heavy storm began. We reached a cemetery and decided to take shelter under a large old tree. The storm got worse, the umbrella broke, and the wind was so strong that it blew us around. My younger brother saw someone approaching, which scared him, and he came to me. I reassured him, though I was scared too.

When I looked back, I saw the figure growing taller and taller. It became about 8 to 9 feet tall. We ran away, but soon we had to stop under another tree. My brother was crying and scared. Then, I saw a white figure moving towards us from the tree. I told my brother to close his eyes, hold my hand, and not look back as we ran.

As we ran, I got my foot stuck in a hole created by the rain. My brother ran ahead, and someone who looked like my uncle appeared. He helped me out of the hole and pointed in the direction where my brother went. I followed and found my brother by a grave. We found a house nearby, knocked on the door, and told the people inside what had happened.

They told us that the large tree had good jinn that saved us, but the tree at the back of the cemetery had bad jinn who caused trouble. We spent the night there and went home in the morning. Our family was worried and had been searching for us. We later shared the full story with them and will send pictures of the cemetery and the hole where my foot got stuck.
