Old Haunted House

My name is owais. I want to share a story about my house. It was built in 1970. Initially, it was large, but later, one section with a garden was separated and sold off. The remaining part was in an old style with seven connected rooms.

I had never heard any stories about the house, but when I grew up, I overheard my mother and her friend talking. Her friend, who has spiritual knowledge, said that the last room of our house had a woman with white clothes, long hair, and a long nose. This friend of my mother had sensed her presence in our house. I’ll refer to her as "Aunt" in this story.

I heard this but ignored it. One night, I went from my room to the main room because I felt like there was a fight between them. But when I arrived, they were both asleep. The next morning, I told Aunt about it. She said that whenever my mother woke up at night, she saw a woman sitting near my father’s feet, holding a matchstick, trying to light it on his leg, but it didn’t catch fire. There was a burn mark where the matchstick touched. Aunt then advised my mother to sprinkle water on the walls of the room.

Years later, due to family issues, the house was divided. We lived in the front part, and the back part was used by my uncle. One night, my father came out of the bathroom, and I was drinking water at the dining table. My father looked very scared and stared at me as if I wasn’t there. He took a deep breath and went back to sleep. After that night, my father fell seriously ill, starting with a fever and then developing a lung condition. He would cough all night, and sometimes pieces like paper would come out.

We began spiritual treatment and my mother managed it as my father would get angry if told to get spiritual treatment. He started performing prayers regularly, and his condition improved. However, his left lung was severely damaged, and he still couldn’t tolerate dust.

Eventually, due to continued issues with my uncle, they moved out and sealed the back part of the house. A year after that, I started smelling a terrible odor, like something dead and rotting. I thought it might be a rat, but nothing was found. Whenever I entered the courtyard, the smell was very strong. I placed a chair and climbed to see if something was there, but it was empty. The smell was so strong that I felt nauseous. My mother and I read the Quran in the house, and the smell disappeared.

One night, while pressing my father’s legs, I went to the bathroom around 2 AM. As I turned towards the bathroom, I saw a figure standing by the door, dressed like my father’s clothes but with a different face and long, messy hair. It disappeared after 10 seconds. A couple of days later, I saw the same figure on the back side of the house but in a completely black dress. The next day, I saw it again, looking from the courtyard to the roof.

I didn’t tell my parents but was very frightened. Two days later, around 10 AM, while my father was at the office, I was half asleep but aware of my surroundings. I felt a presence and saw a figure in a black dress standing in my room, laughing at me. I tried to scream, but no sound came out. My mother rushed in, and as soon as she came, the figure disappeared.

Since then, I’ve felt like someone is watching me from the corner of my room, but nothing is visible. After a year, I started feeling restless on my bed and began sleeping on the sofa. One day, my uncle's family stayed over, and my aunt and her daughters slept on my bed while I watched a movie on the sofa. I kept hearing my aunt’s voice saying, "Don’t disturb me, let me sleep." Suddenly, there was a loud noise as if the bed was being hit. I turned on the flashlight and saw that my aunt’s daughters were awake and terrified. They said they saw something, and when I asked them to describe it, they said it was a woman in black.

The next day, I told my uncle about it, and he said that after the house was divided, the back part where my aunt lived had its own problems. It’s as if whatever was there had shifted to our part of the house.

Now, we live in a new house and have kept the old one sealed. Alhamdulillah, nothing strange has happened since we moved.
